Work With Me

Looking for a way to stay in touch with your child without giving them a smartphone? Wondering how to broach the topic of independence with other parents? Or maybe you just need some guidance coming up with your first independent experience?

I’ve been coaching parents on independence for years—ever since my daughter took her first walk around the block alone during the lockdowns.
Whatever your environment or family situation is, I can help. Sometimes childhood independence is as easy as planning your kid’s route to school. Sometimes it’s trickier, like navigating custody arrangements, car-heavy environments, or getting your partner onboard. Where there’s a will there’s a way!

Let's Get Started

I am available to talk one-on-one or in a larger group—independence is more fun with friends!

We can meet virtually or in-person (Seattle, WA area) to chat about your lives, review your family’s schedule, and discuss your goals. What do your kids like to do? Where would they go if they could?

We can talk over the use of surveillance technology, how to keep in touch without tracking or stalking, and what to do when we encounter bumps in the road.

I’ll research your immediate neighborhood and help you formulate language to use with your kids, your friends, and your neighbors to get everyone on board with independence.

I’ll provide you with your very own IEP: Independent Experience Program.

With an itemized program, individualized language, and some conviction, you’ll be ready to let your child out into the world.

First, send me a message!
